Ride a tram to the top of Victoria Peak for a panoramic view of the city's famous skyline and Victoria Harbour, cruise aboard a sampan in Aberdeen for a close-up look at the local fisherfolk and their boat community, visit Repulse Bay with it's scenic crescent-shaped sand beach and deep water bay, and stroll around Stanley Market, the popular market town known for it's great bargains.
Kowloon Tour (private, half-day).
Visit Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple, situated in the heart of urban Kowloon, Yuen Po Street Bird Market to see all manner of beautiful birds, colorful Flower Market, a jungle of exotic blossoms and sweet scents, and Ladies Market, a must-visit destination for fashion lovers with an eye for bargains on clothing and accessories.
Heritage Tour (private, half-day).
Travel to the New Territories for an amazing insight into Hong Kong's unique past. Visits include Tai Fu Tai, an opulent former residence of a mandarin, Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall with it's architectural delights, Lo Wai Walled Village, offering fascinating insights of village life in the New Territories, Man Mo Temple, and the enchanting Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees, where local villages burn joss sticks and incense papers hoping their wishes will come true.
Macau for the day (private, full-day, passport required).
Explore Macau, the former Portuguese colony settled in the 16th century which reverted back to China in 1999. Visit the ruins of St. Paul's, Mount Fortress, the Old Walls, Na Tcha Temple, Senado Square, the border point of China, Ma Kok Temple, and Nam Van Lake. There will be time to visit one of Macau's famous casinos before returning to Hong Kong. Travel to and from Macau by Turbojet or Jetcat.
Lantau Explorer with Ngong Ping 360 (seat-in-coach, full-day).
Walk on the 'Avenue of Stars' that honors film greats, travel aboard the Ngong Ping 360 cable-car for a 3.5 mile journey with spectacular views of the South China Sea, Lantau North Country Park, and the Giant Buddha. Visit the Giant Buddha and have a vegetarian lunch at nearby Po Lin Monastery. The tour continues to Tai-O Fishing Village, where Tanka boat people still live in their stilt house today.
A Symphony of Lights Harbour Cruise (departs from Kowloon pier nightly, 1.5 hours).
A highlight of any visit to Hong Kong is a Victoria Harbour evening cruise. Board an authentic Chinese wooden tour boat for a circular cruise around the harbour with unlimited free drinks on board. Victoria Harbour, the world's most spectacular port, comes alive in an awe-inspiring multimedia light show each evening at 8pm.
