Discover Singapore's landmark sights, and visit colorful Kampong Glam on this 4-day program. A private city tour provides an understanding of this island nation with visits to some of city's most popular areas and attractions, including Orchard Road, Thian Hock Kheng Temple, and Merlion Park. Also visit the National Orchid Enclosure to see these iconic flowers of Singapore bursting in a riot of colors and shapes. The next day enjoy a interesting stroll through Kampong Glam, home to Singapore's Malay and Arab communities since the 1820's. Important sights are the Sultan's Mosque and Malay Heritage Centre, as well as the rows of colorful shophouses famous for their textiles. A fun visit to a perfumery here will allow you the opportunity to create and mix your own fragrance! Rounding out the visit is a delicious lunch of Malay cuisine at a traditional Malay restaurant. There is also free time to enjoy the city on your own. Taking in some shopping on Orchard Road, visiting the colonial-style Raffles Hotel for a refreshing Singapore Sling, or heading over to Boat Quay or Clarke Quay for al fresco dining along the Singapore River are just a few of the options.
